WFRT® (Wavefront Ray Tracing Technology) is ProCrea’s proprietary optimization engine, designed to revolutionize lens personalization. Unlike traditional design models, WFRT® simulates real-world visual conditions by positioning the eye and lens exactly as they would be worn.
Using the full set of Position-of-Wear (PoW) parameters—including back vertex distance, pantoscopic tilt, frame wrap angle, and working distance—alongside the wearer’s prescription, WFRT® calculates how light behaves in real scenarios.
A bundle of rays is traced dynamically across different gaze directions and object positions. The resulting wavefront is then analyzed at the exit pupil, accounting for its real-world dimensions, and optimized to deliver the highest visual quality and clarity for each individual wearer.
